My name is Lauryn White. I am 8 years old. I live in Bletchley, which is in Milton Keynes. I live at home with my mommy, she’s a hairdresser, my daddy, he’s a bank manager and my little sister Loucie, she’s a monster!! She is 3 years old. I also have 2 half sisters called Kim and Kait.They are identical twins and they are 25 years old. I have 3 cousins; the oldest is Tania, she is 9 years old, then there is Leon, he is 6 years old and the youngest is Keira, she is 4 years old. My Mom’s sister Nicola is their Mommy. I always call her Aunty Fart!! I have 2 sets of grandparents; Nanny and Grandad (my mom’s parents) live in Birmingham, very close to the airport and they own a balloon shop. Nanny ‘D’ (my Dad’s mom) lives in Buckinghamshire, and Grandad Gordon (Dad’s Dad) lives in Bournemouth, near the sea. I also have a great-nanny who I call Bid! (my Mom’s Nanny) She also lives in Birmingham. I have a pet goldfish called Nemo, who we won at the fair 2 years ago. At 11 months I was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis (CF).This is a genetic disease which affects my lungs and my digestive system. It means that I have to take lots of medications every day and have to do physiotherapy every day with my accapella which is a special blowing device. My sister Loucie also has CF. This means we have a very busy routine especially in the mornings. I was recently granted a wish by the Starlight Children’s Foundation to go to Disneyland Paris to meet the princesses there. It was great fun. I was also chosen by Starlight to present a posy to Princess Alexandra in London recently. We all got to go in a limousine around London. It made me feel just like a princess!! I got to meet some famous people like Helen Worth (Gail from Coronation Street) I go to Knowles Junior School in Bletchley and my teacher is Mr Wood, he is very funny! My friends at school include Tia, Lara, Cameron and Ella. At school I enjoy ICT, art and reading. I am on the school council which means we are the voice of the school. We have weekly meetings to discuss any changes we would like to make within the school. My favourite colours are; red, purple, gold and light blue. My hobbies include football, playing on my Game Boy, cheerleading, trampolining, gymnastics and swimming. I have won lots of medals for gymnastics. My latest challenge in swimming was to swim 2000 meters (80 lengths).It took me 1 hour and 40 mins, but I DID IT and LIVED!!! I have also won a trophy for cheerleading and because I am the lightest, I am a flyer. This means I am the one that gets thrown in the air a lot!
